Home » About ‘Child Support’

About 90% of child support agreements are formal agreements, established in court or through a government agency; the other 10% are informal child support agreements established between the co-parents.

“Child Support” is a mockumentary (mock documentary) focusing on the concept of providing financial assistance for an offspring to the co-parent in an effort to be able to see the child or, in the least, stay out of jail. This show takes a serious topic that is relatable and controversial, and makes it funny, entertaining and enlightening. Targeting urban areas, “Child Support” gives a voice to the ‘common man’ in the ‘hoods, barrios and trailer parks. By focusing on an ‘inner city’ perspective, “Child Support” gives a voice to those in economically- challenged areas where resourcefulness and creativity are the keys to life. Those individuals are now given a platform on which they can share their personal experiences in their respective informal custody agreements. “Child Support” specifically visits the ‘hoods, barrios and trailer parks to get real stories from real people. The uncensored, no-holds-barred dialogue is accentuated by ‘interviewer commentary’, which are captions posted on the screen during the interview.
